Peter Daly Scholarship Fund
Since 2006, HRI has distributed approximately $2.3 million in scholarships for college, community college, and professional certificate programs through the Peter Daly Scholarship Fund. Any HRI resident, regardless of age, attending an accredited institution may apply for a scholarship. Awards range from $500 to $5,000 per year. Melaku Mohammed
Boston University Class of 2026 HRI Resident
"This scholarship has and is continuing to provide the opportunity to complete my path towards a B.S. in Data Science, as it helps pay for my tuition. With the costs of attending a higher education increasing yearly, this scholarship has been the backbone to uplift me academically and financially, reducing the burden of student debt and letting me focus on building real-world skills in data science.
Beyond just covering tuition, it represents an investment in my future, empowering me to become a data scientist who can use analytics to solve meaningful problems in my community and industry. I’m incredibly grateful for this support, as it has transformed what felt like an uncertain dream into a concrete, achievable goal. "
Ashley Flores
Boston College Class of 2028 HRI Resident
"As someone who is low-income, this scholarship will support my current educational goals and my future goals tremendously. This scholarship will allow me to continue my education with a sense of financial burden being taken off of my family’s and I shoulders.
I come from a background where every dollar counts and where this type of support goes unnoticed. This scholarship represents hard work, sacrifice, and dedication I have maintained while being a student. I am most looking forward to new opportunities and joining my campus’s clubs to become more involved with my school/community this academic year!”
Philip Wilkins

This support will go a long way in helping me succeed this semester and brings me one step closer to achieving my goals. Thank you for believing in me!”
